Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Devin Toner dropped into us in August to collect his new E-Class here at Newgate Motors, and he’s been back in touch to tell us what he thinks of the 2016 version. With a range of new innovations and technologies, is good to hear how they actually perform on the road.
The big difference Devin noticed in the new E-Class was the huge change in efficiency, but it somehow also manages to get a huge improvement in power:
“The fuel economy in the new one is phenomenal and also there is huge difference in the power, there is a noticeable difference in the acceleration”
This should come as no surprise, with Mercedes engineers focusing on building both their petrol & diesel engines to be even more powerful and agile, while at the same time consuming less fuel.
Secondly, the comfort of the Mercedes E-Class cabin was impressive to Devin:
“Comfort wise I don't think it's surprising that it's probably the most comfortable car I've ever driven. It doesn't look too shabby either.”
